We would like to convey our condolences to his friends & family. Chief Scalione was a 59-year member of the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department, and a 40-year member of the Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as its Captain for many years. Chief Scalione was also Chief of the Ramsey Rescue Squad. He was Secretary of the Northwest Bergen Mutual Aid Association for 40 years, and was County Coordinator for the Northwest Bergen Mutual Aid Association. Rich will be missed by all who knew him, he was a mentor to many and a pillar of his community. Rest easy Chief.
